	He graduated from the Lagos State University in 1994 and was called to the Nigerian bar in 1995. He began his career in maritime law with the distinguished and renowned shipping firm of Femi Atoyebi & Co where he worked as a Senior Associate. He later worked as Legal Adviser/Shipping Supervisor of Sahara Energy Resources Limited, an International Oil Trading Company with head office in the Isle of Man and branch offices in Nigeria and Geneva. He has attended several maritime conferences both locally and internationally including the Bunkering in Africa conference in Cape Town, South Africa and Tanker Charter parties seminar in the United Kingdom and the 31st Maritime Law short course hosted by the Institute of Maritime Law, University of Southampton, U.K. He is an active member of the Maritime Law Association in Nigeria
